Refund Policy

Overview
This policy describes the refund posture for CarScout services. It applies alongside our Terms of Service and does not modify any statutory rights you may have under applicable law. If you have a question not answered here, email support@carscout.ai.
Buyer's Pass Subscription
The Buyer's Pass is a recurring monthly subscription priced at $19 per month, billed by Stripe, Inc. on our behalf. Your subscription begins on the date of purchase and renews automatically each calendar month.
You may cancel at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; access continues until that date. No partial-month refunds are issued unless required by applicable law.
One-Time Purchases
One-time charges — such as a single deal report or a one-shot scan — are eligible for a full refund within 7 days of purchase if the product was not delivered or was materially defective. Outside that window, refunds are reviewed on a case-by-case basis; contact support@carscout.ai with your Stripe receipt or charge ID and a brief description of the issue.
Refund Request Process
To request a refund, email support@carscout.ai from the address on file, include your Stripe receipt or charge ID, and provide a one-line reason. We acknowledge all requests within 2 business days.
Processing Timing
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe. Bank settlement typically takes 5–10 business daysafter issuance, depending on your card issuer. Stripe's processing timeline is outside our control; we issue the refund on our end as soon as the request is approved.
Exceptions
The following are explicitly non-refundable: (a) shipping and transport bookings once the carrier has picked up the vehicle, (b) charges in active chargeback disputes (those are resolved through Stripe and your card issuer's dispute process), and (c) accounts terminated for abuse, fraud, or violation of the Terms of Service.
